'Best Friends' is the follow up single to
'Can't you se it in my eyes'

Best Friends was written by Wayne Jackson founding member of the most famous horn section in popular music, the Memphis Horns.

They have been on nearly every major record to ever come out of Memphis and still today are featured on records with superstars such as Sting, The Doobie Bros, Jerry Lee Lewis, Neil Young and many more. He, at the time of this release, is touring USA with Neil Young.

Lonnie and Wayne have been friends for many years and it was on a recent trip when Wayne offered the song to Lonnie.

Like the previous single, the musicians include Bob Babbitt of Motown's Funk Bros., Byrd Burton of the original Amazing Rhythm Aces on guitar, as was Tony Burkys of The Leemen.

The song has a very beautiful message and is ideal for any adult contemporary listener.

BONUS TRACK is

Country kicker...

'Who made the rules'

It was written by Lil' Fi, who is one the top performers in the Australian Blues scene and if you listen to the words, you'd have to agree it could be the anthem of many !

Recently, when she performed on Lonnie's shows, she'd bring the house down with many songs including this one. It's gutsy message captured Lonnie's attention and he decided he'd like to record it as a kick ass country song.

He made a few changes and additions to it then recorded it in Nashville.
